Thursday Art Date: December Holidays: πŸŽ… Santa's WorkshopπŸŽ…

Welcome to Thursday's Art Date! 😊😊 Today our theme is December Holidays: Santa's Workshop. I was watching some old Jack Benny television shows on YouTube the other day and Carol Burnett was one of the guest stars. This reminded me of her show, which was so funny...and the cartoon at the end, of her as a "scrub woman"! I guess I figured, now that Christmas is over, Santa's workshop needed a good cleaning and who better to do some hard labour than Bugs Bunny!

I also drew a charcoal drawing of Tim Allen as Santa Claus from the move The Santa Clause. I think he's so funny! I love that movie.

If you'd like to watch the real-time video I made for this tutorial, feel free to click on the image, or on this link!

I also have a few new videos up on my Spiritual Rain channel!

My Snowy Paradise With My Dogs!
Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer Card Reading For 2022

I did something different for the holidays, I made Mex-Mas dinner!

Burritos filled with Refried Beans, Nacho Cheese Dip, tomatoes, lettuce and Cheddar cheese. The tortillas are tomato and spinach flavoured!

I made Tortilla Chips in the shape of snowmen! Cookie cutters come in handy for this!

To the left is my Mexican Dip and to the right the nacho cheese dip. You can barely see the refried beans in the photo above the nacho cheese dip.

Look at that melt!!

We were too full for a big dessert, but I opened up the After Eight sticks and made some Brandy Alexander's. I have some nice food planned for this weekend too!

I wanted to share this gorgeous photo I took from my front door. The spotlight over the door was on and it was snowing...doesn't it look like a painting?

🍸WISHING ALL OF MY BEAUTIFUL FRIENDS A HAPPY, HEALTHY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR! I WISH YOU JOY AND LOVE!!! πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

Thursday Art Date: December Holidays: ✨ Christmas Future ✨

Welcome to Thursday's Art Date! 😊😊 Today our theme is December Holidays: Christmas Future. I know this was a challenge for many people, including me!!! Bugs came up with the idea of posing as Ebenezer Scrooge from The Christmas Carol. The Ghost of What Is Yet To Come is showing Bugs how unkempt and forgotten his gravestone would be if he didn't change his ways.

Going with the same movie, I chose a scene to draw with ink and graphite of what life might be like in the Cratchet home if Scrooge didn't pay Bob Cratchet more money! This is actually a scene from the Muppet Christmas Carol - I watched it last weekend! Poor Tiny Tim's cap, scarf and cane, just sitting on that chair, sigh...good thing Scrooge decided to become a kinder man!!

I uploaded real-time videos on how to draw these two scenes if you're interested!

How To Draw A Scene From A Christmas Carol
How To Draw Bugs Bunny As Ebenezer Scrooge!

I'm still working hard on all of my courses, I've added a web design course to the mix as well. It's chilly here my friends! Luckily though we haven't gotten too much snow yet! πŸŽ„ I decorated one of our little Jack Pine's with some ornaments just to make things cheery and festive outside my window! πŸŽ„

All of the pets are doing well! I hope you're all happy and healthy! I'll raise a glass of Fresita to your health! This is a nice Italian sparkling wine and it has a semi-sweet strawberry taste to it, very nice if you can get your hands on it! 🍷

Homemade Cream of Tomato Soup with my Pour In The Pan Pizza (which is basically a focaccia).

Look at that dough. When you bake a focaccia, you bake it in oil and it's crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, amazing! πŸ•πŸ˜‹

Once again I was craving some Thanksgiving fair and pulled out my frozen Fruit Ketchup, made some Bread Stuffing with leftover stale bread; and mashed potatoes with Chicken Gravy...gosh I can't get enough of that comfort meal!!

I just wanted to tempt you a little bit 😈 I know, I'm evil...a little bit of hot gravy over melted cheese on fries...yes, a Poutine

Thursday Art Date: December Holidays: ⛄ Christmas Present ⛄

Welcome to Thursday's Art Date! Today our theme is December Holidays: Christmas Present. Bugs Bunny is relaxing by the Christmas tree, opening Holiday cards. He just received a very special one from a good friend!

I decided to go with a landscape drawing this week for Christmas Present. This charcoal drawing describes my life in the present on my land! The full moon is in a few days, I live in the woods and I hear coyotes howling every night and every morning!

I published a real-time video of this tutorial if you'd like to try it out! Click the image above or this link.

My latest Spiritual Rain video is up on YouTube as well. I made my annual Ice Lanterns for Yule. They are so easy to make and I wanted to share that with my friends in this video. Problem is, we are having a wee bit of a mild spell and they have nearly melted already!!! I'll have to make some more when the weather is a bit colder!

Last Friday we had our annual Tree Trimming day and breakfast! We went with an artificial tree this year. After transplanting and caring for over 25 trees last fall, we didn't have the heart to chop one down!

I made a yummy Egg Nog. I also tried an Eggless Egg Nog and I have to say, it tasted SO MUCH like the real stuff, I'm hooked! Of course this was "sweetened" with a little rum and brandy!

I also made Alex's Grandma's "Toasettes"...that's toast with Homemade Cheez Whiz, an egg or two, all baked in the oven. So delicious!

In between heavy meals (like this cheese fondue!), we've been trying to eat light, and some days just some fruit smoothies to try to ward off the holiday weight gain!! (The key word here is TRY David...but trust me those snowshoes will be out as soon as we get some snow again!! πŸ˜€)

Baby Oscar had to visit the vet this week, he has an ear infection in both ears, sigh...he'll be okay in a few days! The other furries are all doing fine!

πŸ”₯πŸŒ™ Wishing you all a BLESSED YULE!! πŸŒ™πŸ”₯

Today's featured Blogger is my friend "TB" (short for Toirdhealbheach Beucail) from The Forty-Five blog. He also shares images (such as the above image) on his posts - just to get you thinking! And of course, he's a movie star (in-joke) lol...I posted once that I was an extra in a Kiefer Sutherland movie, and TB told me he was an extra in a Goldie Hawn movie! Please visit his blog!! 😊

Thursday Art Date: December Holidays: 🌟 Christmas Past 🌟

Hello Friends! πŸŽ„❆

Welcome to Thursday's Art Date, today our theme is December Holidays: Christmas Past. Porky Pig is a big fan of Norman Rockwell paintings and he wanted to recreate "Christmas Wreath". This is a lovely painting, that for me, represents Christmas Past.

Another Christmas Past memory..."White Christmas" by Bing Crosby (drawn with ink, graphite and a red colouring pencil). This is the image of Bing on that album cover. I listen to his holiday music every year, he has such a mellow voice! Louis Armstrong once said : "Bing Crosby's voice was like gold being poured out of a cup."

Here are my two latest art tutorials! (I'm playing around with new thumbnails, the YouTube Optimization course is teaching me lots of great stuff!) Friends, if you watch YT, do you prefer thumbnails that are a little different every time, or those that remain pretty much the same? Also, do you read the title of the video or do you mainly click on the thumbnail? Thanks for the feedback!! ♥♥

And here are my latest Spiritual Rain videos!

Three New Messages From The Universe
Mourning Dove Energy

I'm still trying different pizza recipes, this one has Mozzarella, Parmesan and Goat Cheese. Oof.

I did some canning, made 12 jars of Salsa.

And some of my Fruit Ketchup for Yule dinner. This stuff goes SO WELL with meat pie and mashed potatoes!

Spinach, Ricotta Lasagna Roll-Ups (with homemade Ricotta and Marinara Sauce!)

The snow has melted, and I guess I am dreaming of a white Christmas, because we are due to have rain over the weekend - and lots of it. UGH! My hope to have my roof replaced before the end of the year has become a slim chance if at all...I'll have to wait until the spring. I hope it holds out for another winter! I'm keeping very busy my Friends, my courses are going well! I'm playing catch-up again! ♥
I hope you are all safe, healthy and happy!

Today's featured Blogger is my friend Mary from A Breath Of Fresh Air blog. Mary is such a wonderful lady. She's a "transplanted Brit" who has been all over the world and she shares her photos and stories. She also has a lovely garden and home and shares that as well. The photo above is one she took yesterday in her garden in North Carolina. Please visit her blog!!
