Thursday Art Date: February Feelings: 😍 Kindness 😍

Welcome to Thursday's Art Date! 😊😊 I'm sharing my latest #Shorts video, me drawing Marvin the Martian from Looney Tunes. I hope you enjoy it!

Today our theme is Kindness! I decided that Kindness would be my word for 2022, I will be the kindest person I can be (not just in 2022!)! I think that being kind has a wonderfully fulfilling effect on both the person giving and the person receiving.

For this week, I decided to draw Sylvester The Cat showing an act of kindness to Tweety Bird:

On screen these two are rivals, but in person, they adore each other!

Here is my latest video on my Spiritual Rain YouTube channel. It's an empowerment reading I did for myself and for anyone in need - I recently put an end to a toxic friendship and I discuss it in this video. Toxic people can just destroy your health and steal your energy. Sometimes it's hard to let them go.

Well, my Charlie is NOT improving. I am terribly upset about this, I feel so useless, I don't know how to help her. She was doing better, then bang...back to yelping every time she tries to get up or move her head. She couldn't even get up on her own for dinner tonight! 😒The meds finish on Monday then it's back to the vet. I feel like I'm being drained financially. But I will do all I can to help her and to stay as positive as I can!

Not too much on the food front this week, but I did manage to sneak in some pizza! I've been super busy. I attended a free online seminar hosted by Tony Robbins (he's a motivational speaker). It was 6 days, a good 4 hours each day; and it was fabulous. I learned so much and I'm applying all of the knowledge I learned! Are you a follower of Tony Robbins? I hope you're all doing well my friends!! Be kind to each other!!

Just a note: my online presence will be greatly diminished for the next little while. I'm putting all of my energy into my studies! It's very exciting. Wish me luck!

  1. Hello Rain,

Kindness is a good word for 2022. We can all afford to be kind. Tweety bird is one of my favorite characters, love your drawings. Good luck with your studies. I am sending healing prayers for your sweet Charlie. Take care, enjoy your day!

  2. The world needs all the acts of kindness we can muster, and someone should deliver that message to the truckers in Ottawa who are disrupting people's lives, and taking food from shelters helping the less fortunate. Despite a life involved with animals I have never had the desire to have pets in my home, and I know it can be both stressful and extremely expensive. A woman who comes on my walks fairly regularly spent over $8,000 on her dog, and by her own admission possibly extended its life by about four months, and there was little quality for the poor dog during that time. I hope that all goes well with your pet, Rain, I really do, but there comes a time for all of us, human and non human alike, when it's time to go.

  4. Kindness is a wonderful word Rain. There can never be too much of it in the world. And Marvin was probably my favorite Looney Tunes character.

    Prayers up for Charlie.

  5. So sorry your little dog is in so much pain, something might have moved since you saw the vet and need manipulating back? if it isn't structural, but sore where healing - this might work for you: I have always done this with family and pets where you hover your hands over the person/animal/area and imagine you are pulling the bad away and dropping it (not sucking it up!) my children believed it worked, it's something my family have always done and its worth a try. There are people who specialise in similar, my mother called it laying on hands and others call it Bowen technique. I hope this might help and be worth a try, as you are such a spiritual person I think it may help your pets :) Betty x

  10. I'm sorry about Charlie. I know you are taking good care of him. Kindness, I see so little of it in my town that I just ignore the rudeness and the ignorant. Pizza looks great. Enjoy your studies.

  12. I love your drawings of Sylvester and Tweety. That is a great one.

Sorry about Charlie, maybe it is time to let him go? If pain is all he has??? I would not want him to suffer.
    Take care!

  15. Rain,

I'm sorry to read that Charlie isn't doing well. Sending pawkisses and hugs to him, and you!

I love you kindness illustrated scenes! Nicely done and so sweet!! Your foodie shot looks yummy!

I admire your dedication to your studies. I really need to get motivated to work on April's A2Z challenge but I can't seem to walk away from my normal routine. *sigh* Oh well...I'll get in the groove eventually.

    Thanks for hosting, my friend!

  16. The poor pup and poor you.
I have had sick cats, and you hate seeing them in pain. Sometimes it is best to let them go. I know what you are going through.
I've had this discussion with hubby, as he has cancer. We both agree about quality of life.
    Love your sketches.
    Take care.

  17. So sorry about your puppers! It's always hard when they have stuff going on and it can be very expensive I know from experience. I don't know if there might be some Pet acupuncturists in your area? Sometimes it can really help if it's something related to inflammation

  18. I forgot to ask can you post a link to the Tony Robbins info? I found some of the stuff pretty fascinating and really energizing but never went to a full-blown course

  19. Your drawings are beautiful.
I feel so sorry for your dog, they are friends for life, but if something goes wrong it is very expensive.
I hope the vet can find out what's going on.
    Greetings Irma

  20. Since we are in a road trip, Rain, I am a bit late in blog reading and so sorry to read about Charlie not doing well. I know you are such a kind person and will do whatever you can for him. And, taking the time you need for yourself is also being kind to you. Best wishes to you both, my blogger friend.

  21. Awwww,,,,RAIN!!!! You are WAY TOO sweet to mention me. Maybe I should start posting some of Scruffy's antics on my blog. I guess I hadn't thought about that really. I put one of my "naughty" posts on today. lol. I was THAT kid!
Your artwork gets better and better and better. It's amazing and I love that sweet little series you did here.

I am so sorry to hear about your pup. It is always so sad when something happens to our pets or they aren't well. Poor thing!

  23. Loving your kindness drawing.

Oh, Charlie. I so hope that returning to the vet yields more answers and something specific that can be done to help heal her. You've had a lot of loss in the past year or so and I don't want to see another one for either of you. Sending much love and prayers and healing wishes for the sweet girl.

Diana is a wonderful blog friend to all. A well-deserved shout-out!

  29. It must have finally been time for me to go check out your youtube - left you a comment and just know it did me a WORLD of good to watch you. I feel like those 6 cards were pulled for me! <3 Okay, to the blog post. PIZZA, I'm good! haha Oh poor sweet doggie. Wonder if she has a back or neck problem, sometimes when my neck acts up it hurts my entire head painfully and I yelp too for days sometimes. So happy you've been helped and motivated so much by Tony Robbins, is there a link to this free thing? Or is it on his youtube? Have a studious wonderful week! xoxo, Aimeslee
