Hello my Friends :)
My world is so beautiful lately that I just wanted to share it with you! Yup, winter has arrived and here it will remain until mid-May. Even though it's really cold out, I'm drawn to the charm of Nature! Alex and I went for a walk along the cold river yesterday.
Weekdays in this village are pretty quiet and we love that. We made several stops along the river bank to just sit and listen to the flowing water.
I made little snowmen all along the way too, that was fun! :)
Darkness falls quickly this time of year, making winter nights a beautiful haze of blue and white.
Time to head back home through the covered bridge. (Sorry it's a little out of focus!)
A nice comforting meal of Crepes Suzette warmed us up on a cold wintry night! The weekenders are already in town on their snowmobiles, making quite the racket...time to hibernate for a few days!! :)
It is very beautiful! We may lose quite a bit of our snow as our temperatures are going up this weekend, with possible rain. I've never made Crepes Suzette before (not actually sure what's in them!). Always inspiring! -Jenn

ReplyDeleteLove the snowy scenes, I like the idea of snow pristine white and crisp.But in the UK the reality is 5 minutes of white and then days of brown slush that gets tracked into every house and shop. That is when we get any snow worth talking about.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place to live - but a double-edged sword, too. I have heard the snowmobiles tearing around, too, and I dread it. They like to roar in front of the house at the wee hours, on their way back from the local watering hole.

Oh well, what can you do but just move to a place more isolated right? That sucks about your wee-hour drunkards...I'd probably be setting booby traps for them lol..oops did I say that? ;)

Hi Sis :) We are getting more snow today too! It's very beautiful, but you know, wherever I end up, there will be snow. I have a feeling we'll still be in the mountains when we move. We're keeping an eye on New Brunswick mostly now, but Nova Scotia is still a big option. We even decided if we can find the perfect spot, we'd stay in Quebec, oh the horror lol...you know how I feel about the language crap here! But no, I don't feel sad at all. This town was great when we first moved here, but it has really expanded and the tourist population has doubled over the years. Just last night, we got woken up at around 3am by snowmachines racing up and down the road and honking their horns. No, I won't miss it! :)
