π¨For our π¨ Art Date π¨, today's optional prompt is Embossed! Please feel free to share any art you've created, we would love to see it! I KNOW this was a toughie my friends! And I seriously was wondering what I was thinking when I came up with this prompt lol...I write all the art prompts for the coming year in November and they surprise me just as much as they surprise you!! ☺
Chickadee - don't worry he landed on top of the trail cam, didn't fly into it! |
Blue Jays |
Hairy Woodpecker, Grackle and some Mourning Doves (I'm sure it's a Hairy because I've seen this fella all week and he has quite a long bill!) |
πFor our π Dinner Date π, I had fun in the kitchen in the last week! I made some of my French Baguettes.
⬆️⬆️ And we need to dip those baguettes into something don't we? How about some Marinara Sauce! After this is all cooked, I blend it so it's nice and smooth - perfect for bread dippin'!

Well done with embossed Tweety! It was an interesting challenge.
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine! I had a hard time with this one! ☺
DeleteI agree, your dogs look guilty of something - and very very cute.
ReplyDeleteI love cheese fondue, but I'm not sure about the apple ingredient. I would try dipping apples into the fondue, though. We often use roasted potatoes and brussels sprouts as dippers.
Carola, I love dipping roasted potatoes into melted cheese, it's such a good flavour combination!
DeleteHooray for birds. I am thrilled that Jack continues to do well - and smiled at Tweety Bird.
ReplyDeleteThanks EC!!! ♥
DeleteLovely photos and delicious food Rain! The breads look amazing. The pups do look a tiny bit guilty :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for hosting!
-Soma
Thank you Soma! Yes, I'm sure the pups were up to something lol!
Deletenice version of Tweety. Love your birdshots :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Monica! ♥
DeleteHello Rain,
ReplyDeleteLove your sweet furbabies, I am so happy Jack is doing well. Your Tweety bird art is awesome. The bread, marinara sauce, the cheese dip all look delicious. Take care, have a great day!
Thanks Eileen! ♥
DeleteYour food photos are always so beautiful. And I love the pictures of the birds.
ReplyDeleteThanks Belinda! ♥
DeleteI'd be quite happy to come and tear into one of those baguettes and watch the birds, Rain. I know that you make cheese, but I would bring a nice Danish Fontina, some mushroom Oka, and maybe even a little Stilton for variety. I have a couple of bottles of a lovely Malbec on the counter, so I think we're all set!
ReplyDeleteWell David, you can keep the mushroom Oka, but I'll have a LARGE portion of Stilton please!!! I think we would definitely be set with the Malbec!!! ☺☺☺
Deleteyour media art with tweety looks great success dear Rain !
ReplyDeletei enjoyed the birds photos a lot as well :)
thanks for wonderful videos and food is excellent as always :)
hugs
Thanks so much Baili! ♥
DeleteYou did a great job on Tweety! And I love those photos of the chickadee and the Matrix grackles!
ReplyDeleteThe Matrix grackles, isn't that neat??? I love my trail cam!!
DeleteThe embossing is amazing Rain! You really are a talented artist.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the head-on photo of the bird coming at the camera (maybe a chickadee?).
Thanks TB! Yes, it's a chickadee for sure! I love how the trail cam captures these action shots!
DeleteTweety does look like he is coming out of the page. I started to learn the 3D techniques once and I have either forgotten or I quit before I really learned it ... either way, I think it is time to go back and learn it. And, I will be doing some of your art class posts today ... be prepared to see your viewing hours go up :)
ReplyDeleteSo, yes, Jack and Raven both look guilty ... guilty of what? Are you not telling?
I love your Chickadee and Woodpecker. The crows look like they are going in for a passionate kiss, but I know they are really probably fighting over the femme fatale on the tree stump. Every week I tell myself I want to get a trail cam and every week I forget. Could this be the week? Time will tell :)
Oh the food, the food ... my mouth thirsts for even the smallest taste of your awesome creations. Now if you really want to make money, figure out a way to package some of those goodies and sell them on line. I know I would be at the front of the line.
So "Hats" I can live with ... in fact I am off right now to start perusing my photo files for hats. I know that I have a friend who has shared many a "Hat" moment with me. This will be fun and more relaxing after last weeks debacle :) Have a great week, my friend. Time is ticking and there is much to look forward to :)
Andrea @ From the Sol
LOL, Jack and Raven look very guilty, but it's not me who's not telling, it's THEM lol! I couldn't get it out of them! ☺ I love that you mentioned the Femme Fatale, I would definitely agree with that statement! I love the 3D trick art stuff, I should do more videos on that! Thanks Andrea ♥♥
DeleteHello Rain,
ReplyDeleteVery cool Tweety illustration. It looks like he got caught up in Granny's blinds. lol Your bread looks fabulous. I'd like to grab a slice of it to dip it in your marinara sauce and your cheese fondue. Mmm, yum does that ever sound good. The apple butter looks tasty, too. My late MIL used to canned spiced cooked apples, not quite as thick as apple butter but excellent with biscuits. Thanks for hosting the weekly art date, my dear. Have a doodletastic weekend!
Oh ha ha, that's funny Cathy about Tweety in Granny's blinds!!!
DeleteI love Tweety of course and you're wonderful critters including your pet but those French baguettes are calling my name!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cloudia! The baguettes are SO good, they never last past a few days!
DeleteCute Tweety bird. Don't the doggies look cute peeping from where they are?
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy! ♥
Deleteyour birds' pictures are amazing, and appetizing your recipes
ReplyDeleteThank you Kwarkito!
Delete..Rain, you have made me hungry, I need to go and have my breakfast. Thanks for hosting the party.
ReplyDeleteIf my post made you hungry Tom, then my work is done! ☺
DeleteWell you have just been WAY busy and having fun in the kitchen. Wish I have the energy these days. I would love some of that bread.
ReplyDeleteYes Sis, I've been very busy, happily keeping busy! ☺
DeleteTweety looks great. You have been busy in the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lin!
DeleteYour "raised" Tweety bird is a great idea for the Embossed theme. Well done, Rain. And your food, once again, looks amazing. Mmmm...
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Becki! ♥
Deletethat was a challenging theme! I haven't had my paints out for ages but would have had trouble with that one. I love the picture of the dogs, dear old Jack peeking out :) Your bird cam is really rewarding - the woodpecker is very pretty. Betty
ReplyDeleteThanks Betty! I had trouble with this theme too, don't know how I came up with it lol!
DeleteI haven't made any bread in weeks, Rain, as we are cutting down on carbs. Those baguettes looked wonderful and dipping them in cheese fondue looks to be so delicious. Glad to read that jack is doing well and what fun to see all those birds on the bird cam, such great entertainment!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dorothy! I really love these trail cams, they capture very interesting scenes!
DeleteNice lot of birds.
ReplyDeleteYour French baguettes look tasty :)
All the best Jan
Thanks Jan! ♥
DeleteI like applebutter.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on, and stay safe.
Thank you Dora!
DeleteRain - that Tweety sure does pop from the page - I have admired it several times while reading through your post! We had a blue jay at our feeders today - we don't see them often in Montana, so that was a nice surprise. Love the Grackle Matrix shot! And Apple Butter in fondue - sounds like a delicious complement to cheese! Thanks for visiting my blog recently!
ReplyDeleteThanks Angie! Yes, the apple and cheese flavours work so well together. Actually when I lived in Quebec, I had access to sweet apple cider and I used to use that in the fondue instead of the wine and apple juice! It was much better that way!
DeleteLove your art and your baking and Jack looks so cute.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandy!
Delete“Great share!”
ReplyDeleteThank you!
