πŸŽ¨πŸ˜‹ Thursday Art and Dinner Date: Frosty and Fun Food!

Welcome my Friends, to Thursday's Art and Dinner Date! 😊😊

🎨For our 🎨 Art Date 🎨, today's optional prompt is Frosty. Bugs Bunny has taken on the role of The Frost King! I drew this with pastel pencils on blue art paper! Please feel free to share any art you've created, we would love to see it! I'll be visiting blogs this weekend! Life is crazy for me!!! But I'm very happy! ♥

Halloween is over, but the only food I have to share is my Halloween fun food this week! So, πŸ˜‹for our πŸ˜‹ Dinner Date πŸ˜‹, I have a ghostly pizza, this year's Boo-rritos and skull cakes!

I carved Bugs into my pumpkin this year, it was a challenge alright! I also made shrunken heads out of apples!

On the video front, For Rain's Kitchen and Garden, I'm sharing these videos for the sake of having them embedded into my post (this helps Google and YouTube rank my videos in their search engine). Here's my video on how to make a Spider Web Cheesecake!

I also have a video on How To Make Shrunken Heads from apples!

Also, How To Paint Ghosts For Halloween!

Jack's eye growth came back, so he had to have it removed again at the vet, poor boy. He's doing okay though. Raven is doing her best to stay close to him during his recover!

Home stuff: I was having septic tank issues recently, actually it was a problem with the leech field. As with the house and foundation, I don't think the previous owners maintained the septic system at all. Before calling a company ($$$), I bought this stuff and it worked like a charm. They have a whole line of products that I'm going to use for maintenance, I love it because it's environmentally friendly and non-corrosive...still learning as I go!

I've been blessed again friends with government funding for my home. First I got the tin roof, then the spray foam insulation done...now I'm being offered a mini-split heat pump and installation for free from the power company! I have more research to do but basically this is a system that heats and cools and is much more energy efficient than baseboard heaters and air conditioners! The assessment is today! There are so many programs out there, you just need to find them!

That's all for now folks! Please check out the link widget below for more 🎨 artistic πŸŽ¨ and πŸ˜‹ delicious πŸ˜‹ creations! See you soon!!! πŸ’—

🎨For our 🎨 Art Date 🎨, today's optional prompt is Trick or Treat! Please feel free to share any art you've created, we would love to see it! Bugs Bunny is dressing up as Daffy Duck this year. He's trick or treating at Witch Hazel's house! I hope she's in a nicer mood this time, the last time Bugs went to her house, she tried to toss him in a pot and cook him! 😲

I drew Jack Skellington from A Nightmare Before Christmas with ink pens and graphite pencils. I watch this movie every Halloween season!

Here are some painted ghosts for you! I'll be uploading the painting lesson on my kid's channel this weekend!

πŸ˜‹For our πŸ˜‹ Dinner Date πŸ˜‹, I made some fun Halloweenie food! Here is a Mummy Stromboli...after I put all of this together, I realized I should have called it a stromBOOli!!

A Spider Marinara Dip Bowl made from pizza dough! You just tear off the legs and dip them into the Marinara Sauce!!

Eyeball Spaghetti! Always a favourite!

Here's my Spider Web Cheesecake! I'll upload the how-to video this weekend! I made all of these ahead of time so I could record them and upload them to my YouTube channel!

Boo-ritos from Halloween Past!

I think we'll be eating our annual Boo-Rito's on Halloween! ☺

I also made a treat for the dogs, the Love My Dog Cake!!

πŸŽ¨πŸ˜‹ Thursday Art and Dinner Date: Masks and LOTS of FOOD!!!

Welcome my Friends, to Thursday's Art and Dinner Date! 😊😊

🎨For our 🎨 Art Date 🎨, today's optional prompt is Masks. Please feel free to share any art you've created, we would love to see it! Bugs Bunny is heading to a masquerade ball tonight. He chose to dress up as Marie Antoinette!

Note: I've changed the link widget time to end on Sundays at midnight. I used to leave it open all week, but noticed come Monday evenings, there were lots of spam links, so I'm going to see if closing it on Sundays will help with that!

Since the Halloween season is in full swing (at least for me!), I chose to draw a scene from the movie Halloween: H20. This is a scene where Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her role as Laurie Strode. She looks up through the window in her door and who's standing right there? A masked Michael Myers! I tried to capture her horrified face with charcoal pencils on black art paper, but she looks a little more stunned than horrified in my drawing!

⬆️⬆️ πŸ˜‹For our πŸ˜‹ Dinner Date πŸ˜‹, I have a lot to share this week! I've been experimenting with vegetarian food lately. I made a delicious Zucchini and Ricotta Cheese Burger with Herbed Aioli. This was great but it had the consistency more of a fancy omelet than a burger!

⬆️⬆️ I used my 3-Ingredient Homemade Ricotta Cheese for the burgers!

⬆️⬆️ Baked pasta with broiled Cheddar cheese on top is always a staple here!

⬆️⬆️ I've been experimenting with bread recipes lately. I have a large project for my YouTube channel that I'm preparing. It's all about bread baking - it's in the works! This was my first experiment making Old Fashioned White Bread - fabulous!

⬆️⬆️  Rain's Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies!!! A mix of dark and milk chocolate for the chips makes the flavour so wonderful. I use Lindt chocolate for these!

⬆️⬆️ This is the first time I made a Baked Apple Galette and it was yummy! Perfect for Fall! I found a recipe online but for the life of me, can't find it anymore...but there are plenty of recipes out there that you can try for this dessert! Next week will be all about Canadian Thanksgiving!

Doggie News: Jack is continuing to have eye trouble. He developed an ulcer on his left eye and we had to have a procedure done twice for him. After 6 weeks on antibiotic/anti-inflammatory drops, he is finally started to recover. ♥ Raven twisted her bad knee while playing. She was wearing her brace but her energy levels were through the roof and she overdid it! She is currently on pain killers and anti-inflammatory medication...she's hopping around on one leg...I hope she heals soon! But...this will be an ongoing issue with her. ♥

Frosty nights are here, I wake up each morning with a crunchy lawn! The garden is winding down. All I have left to do is harvest the potatoes from the tires and remove weeds and old plants for next season! I learned a lot about what I can grow here and what I can't!!! Look at my sorry harvest of tomatoes this year! Thank goodness I found that farm for my canned tomatoes! I'm trying to ripen these in my window!

On the video front:

⬆️⬆️ Here's a 10-second video, it's a Little Blooper from my garlic planting video!

⬆️⬆️ For Rain Frances Art, I made a video of the Halloween: H20 Charcoal Drawing!

⬆️⬆️ For Rain Frances Art For Kids, I have How To Draw Frankenstein's Monster!

⬆️⬆️ For Rain's Kitchen and Garden, I'm sharing My First Potato Harvest!

⬆️⬆️ ⬆️⬆️  How To Make 3-Ingredient Ricotta Cheese!

⬆️⬆️ And finally, my video on Planting Fall Garlic!

That's all for now folks! Please check out the link widget below for more 🎨 artistic πŸŽ¨ and πŸ˜‹ delicious πŸ˜‹ creations! See you soon!!! πŸ’— πŸ’—

πŸŽƒ Happy Halloween and a Blessed Samhain!! πŸŽƒ

Hello Friends! Hope you have a spooktacular evening and a wonderful holiday for those who celebrate! I scaled it down this year (believe it or not!). Usually I carve much more elaborate pumpkins but this year, I've been having issues with pain in my hands, so I carved the standard Jack O' Lanterns! I think they're cute!! πŸŽƒ

I made some fun dishes the last few days, I've included all of my recipes, please enjoy!!

Haunted Spaghetti! The eyeballs are made from mini Bocconcini cheese and green olives.

Mulled Wine - so warming!

I'm plugging my latest video from my spiritual channel! I recorded a video of how I made the mulled wine and it's part of this video if you're interested!!

Witch Hat Calzones - I made these with my Homemade Crescents dough - it was so delicious with a filling of cream cheese, Parm, Mozz and green olives! Dipped in my Homemade Marinara Sauce! I think I know why my hands are so sore...all that kneading for the doughs!!!

Skull Cake

I found a nifty skull cake pan at the local Great Canadian Dollar Store and this is what the cake looked like before I frosted it. The pan was only $6!!! I used my recipe for Chocolate Orange Cupcakes and baked it about 5 minutes longer.

See you on Thursday!!! 😊
