Settled in the Maritimes of Canada, surrounded by the forest and Acadian Mountain Chain, I live a simple life of gratitude. This blog is a journal of my art, food, furkids, garden, home, my life and my thoughts. Thanks for reading!
Welcome to Thursday's Art Date, today our theme is December Holidays: Gingerbread. It was Bugs Bunny's idea to dress up as a Gingerbread Man, I think he got inspired by watching Gingy from the movie Shrek!
Thank you everyone for all of your wonderful comments last week! ♥♥♥♥
I've been reading from my Brother's Grimm Folk and Fairy Tale book lately and I got inspired to draw this Gingerbread House from reading Hansel and Gretel.
Here is my Looney Tune drawing for last week's "Stripes"...Granny loves Tweety so much, look at the length of that scarf, it should keep him nice and warm this winter!! *** By the way folks, if you miss an art date and would still like to participate, feel free to add your link below, even if it's a week late, we want to see your creations!!! ***
Another "Stripes" drawing - 3D art, this is so much fun to do!
I've been really busy making videos lately! Here are all of the latest Rain Frances Art YouTube videos.
Winter has arrived! I'm beginning my hibernation! I started taking 3 home-study courses and I hope to learn a lot during this season! I'm taking a Tarot 101 course, an Introduction to Psychology course and a course on how to optimize your YouTube channel. Lots of fun stuff!
Not only am I beginning my winter hibernation, I'm starting to gain my winter weight lol...I was doing a LOT of "baking therapy" lately (too much!) and I had a cookie day:
Homemade Chili (I used my old Chili Recipe and omitted the meat, added carrots and cumin)
Last week I kept reading about the American Thanksgiving and I got a HUGE craving for Thanksgiving comfort food...so I did it, I made Thanksgiving dinner again!! Bread Stuffing, Cauliflower Gratin, mashed taters, Chicken Gravy and mashed carrots! We had 3 days of leftovers!
We opened a nice California Cab, very fruity!
I'm still on my quest to make the BEST toaster oven pizza...this one was made with Semolina flour, not a fan...next up is "0:0" Italian flour!
Creamy Turkey Bake with Broccoli and Mushrooms (photo courtesy of Jan and Eddie)
I hope you're all doing well and you are happy and healthy my friends, take care out there!! Today's featured Bloggers are Jan and Eddie from The Low Carb Diabetic blog. For wisps, I decided to try to draw the wisps of my hair with charcoals on black paper.
I've really been enjoying my video-making lately. I think I missed my calling. I even enjoy the tedious editing. These are four new videos I posted on my Spiritual Rain channel in the last week or so, if you're interested, please click on the image or on the links below:
Our cat Leo isn't doing too well, if you can keep him in your hearts and in your prayers, that would be very appreciated my friends! 💗

Welcome to Thursday's Art Date, today our theme is Soft. Bugs Bunny is enjoying a nice bubble bath to make his skin and fur nice and soft! One thing I absolutely miss about living here is that I have NO BATH TUB!!! My bathroom is tiny and can barely fit the shower...one of these days I will get myself a hot tub!! 😊
Thinking of my grandfather today, he was a kind and soft-hearted gentleman! 💗
I have many bird feeders around the property and I find lots of feathers every time I go out.
I decided to do a feather study for this week's art date theme. I'm trying to really practice my drawing techniques, especially fur, hair and feathers. Feathers are so soft! Please click on the image or on THIS LINK if you'd like to watch the video!
Soft clouds above the blueberry fields...so beautiful!
My heart goes soft when I'm with my dogs! Jack has a soft spot for me I think! 💕
Today's featured Blogger is my bestest bloggy-friend Joyce from Octoberfarm blog. Joyce is a marvel, she is an inspiration to me. I don't know where to begin and those of you who know her can understand what I mean! She is a wonderful cook and baker, decorator, gardener and dog-lover. She has two beautiful ChowChows, Winnie and Willie (featured above), she's a doting fur-mom just like me! She's just wonderful, please visit her! 💗

Welcome to Thursday's Art Date, today our theme is The Workshop. Bugs and Daffy are switching production companies and posing for a scene from Disney's Pinocchio! Gepetto's Workshop produced a sweet and loveable little boy didn't it? 😊
A workshop is anywhere you create something right? I decided to do a silhouette watercolour, perhaps a self-portrait, of my kitchen workshop! I love painting silhouettes! I've got a delicious, warming and cozy stew going!
Look what I forgot to bring out for Halloween!!! I made my own Bones Man!! 💀
The "a" key on my laptop keyboard has decided to stop working. I tried cleaning the keyboard, I tried compressed air, nothing works. You would not believe how many A's I use in my typing everyday! I am copying and pasting A's all through this post and it is tiresome....dare I say annoying???!!!!
So I will keep this short my friends. I hope to get a new keyboard tomorrow!
Today's featured Artist is Aimeslee from Paper Paisleys Art Adventure blog. Aimeslee is a fun-spirited lovely lady who makes gorgeous and creative homemade cards! Please visit her! 💗

Hello Friends! Hope you have a spooktacular evening and a wonderful holiday for those who celebrate! I scaled it down this year (believe it or not!). Usually I carve much more elaborate pumpkins but this year, I've been having issues with pain in my hands, so I carved the standard Jack O' Lanterns! I think they're cute!! 🎃
I made some fun dishes the last few days, I've included all of my recipes, please enjoy!!
Haunted Spaghetti! The eyeballs are made from mini Bocconcini cheese and green olives.
I'm plugging my latest video from my spiritual channel! I recorded a video of how I made the mulled wine and it's part of this video if you're interested!!
Witch Hat Calzones - I made these with my Homemade Crescents dough - it was so delicious with a filling of cream cheese, Parm, Mozz and green olives! Dipped in my Homemade Marinara Sauce! I think I know why my hands are so sore...all that kneading for the doughs!!!
Skull Cake
I found a nifty skull cake pan at the local Great Canadian Dollar Store and this is what the cake looked like before I frosted it. The pan was only $6!!! I used my recipe for Chocolate Orange Cupcakes and baked it about 5 minutes longer.
